Ordinance No. 01/2020 was published on July 29th and brings greater flexibility in the entry of foreigners into Brazil, for another 30 days. Now, all foreigners are allowed, as long as they come by air and follow a few requirements. 

The big news brought by this Ordinance is that holders of the Visiting Visa that would like to travel as a tourist are also authorized to enter Brazil, so that they can stay for a maximum of 90 days. In this case, the presentation of health insurance will be required for the entire period they are in Brazilian territory.  

Note that Internacional flights to the following States are currently not allowed:

  • Mato Grosso do Sul
  • Paraíba
  • Rondônia
  • Rio Grande do Sul
  • Tocantins

Finally, Brazilians, holders of permanent residency, holders of the National Migration Registry Card (CRNM) and other cases that were already authorized entrance remain being allowed to enter.
