En México, si eres persona extranjera titular de la condición de estancia de residente temporal, de residente temporal estudiante o de residente permanente, deberás notificar al Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM), el cambio de estado civil, nombre, nacionalidad, domicilio o lugar de trabajo, dentro de los siguientes noventa días naturales a que ocurran éstos.

En caso de abstenerse de informar al Instituto el cambio o se haga de forma extemporánea conlleva una sanción de 20 a 100 días fijados con la Unidad de Medida y Actualización (UMA) vigente, es decir, desde los $2,074.80MXN a los $10,374MXN, conforme a lo establecido en el artículo 158 de la Ley de Migración.

If you are a foreign person with the status of temporary resident, temporary resident student or permanent resident, you must notify the National Migration Institute (INM) of the change in marital status, name, nationality, address or place of work, within the next ninety calendar days after these occur.

If you fail to inform the Institute of the change or it is made untimely, it carries a penalty of 20 to 100 days set with the current Measurement and Update Unit (UMA), that is, from $2,074.80MXN to $10,374MXN, in accordance with the established in article 158 of the Migration Law.
